Girl Talk Uninterrupted is an insightful project that confronts the well-known, yet often incomplete rite of passage in American culture: "The Talk." Traditionally centered around an awkward discussion about sex between parents and their children, this pivotal moment frequently overlooks vital subjects like consent, gender norms, body image, and the multifaceted aspects of womanhood, particularly for young women. In this article, I embarked on a personal exploration to redefine and expand the boundaries of "The Talk," presenting my unique perspective on the essential topics that should be encompassed. By offering a fresh and inclusive approach, this project aims to empower individuals, foster meaningful dialogue, and reshape the narrative surrounding this crucial coming-of-age conversation.

MY ROLE encompassed shaping the visual and aesthetic aspects of this spread. One of my primary responsibilities was planning a captivating photoshoot that would bring the article to life. This involved selecting the right location, coordinating with a talented photographer, and ensuring that the vision aligned with the story’s content and tone. To achieve visual cohesiveness, I took charge of styling choices, carefully considering wardrobe, props, and set design. Furthermore, I played a pivotal role in designing the layout, strategically placing images and text to create an engaging reading experience. Overall, my role as the art director encompassed orchestrating the various elements of the project, from planning and coordination to design and communication, with the ultimate aim of delivering a visually captivating and cohesive article.
